I started playing violin and piano at the age of 5, under the instruction of my father, who was a music teacher. I quickly excelled beyond home lessons and at the age of 6, my parents signed me up at an after school music conservatory. There, I studied violin, solfege, and played in the student orchestra. I continued my musical journey throughout grade school years. By my senior year in high school, it had become evident that music was going to be my career choice. I was admitted to the Damascus Higher Institute of Music where I earned a Bachelor's degree in violin and then a Master's Degree in Violin from Wright State University.
I currently teach orchestra at a well-known Metro Detroit area school. I also direct the pit orchestra for our high school musical.
I offer electric and acoustic violin music for your wedding or special occasion with amplification, backing tracks, and/or pre-recorded tracks. I bring my own sound equipment and am able to work with both indoor and outdoor spaces.
I play pop, jazz, hip-hop, R&B, rock, and classical music.
My mission is to make violin music more available to the public. Violin music is often perceived to be only available at a concert hall, and to involve rigid and intimidating rituals. I want people to be themselves while listening to my music, to move around, dance, talk, and just enjoy a good time. I love seeing people's faces fill with joy when I play.
I am fluent in English, Russian, and Arabic.
I serve Macomb, Oakland, Wayne Counties, and all over Michigan, Ohio ,and Indiana.
