About SJ Violin

Samer Jeroudi (SJ) is a contemporary violinist who started playing violin at the age of 5. Originally from Damascus, Syria, he holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Damascus Higher Institute of Music and Master's Degree in Violin from Wright State University in Dayton Ohio. He also took courses at the Doctor of Musical Arts program at the Ohio State University.

Known for offering acoustic or electric violin music for your wedding or special event, he specializes in pop, jazz, hip-hop, R&B, rock, classical, and Arabic music.

His playing experience in weddings and events dates back to mid-late 2000's with the forming of Pro-Arte Violin and Guitar Duo and then later officially being the 1st violinist of the Simply Strings GR String Quartet.  He officially kicked off his solo career in the summer of 2022 in West Michigan before relocating to Metro Detroit in 2023.

SJ currently teaches orchestra full-time at a Metro Detroit area school district, and is fluent English, Russian, and Arabic.
